Minecraft V. 1.6

I'm sure all of you have heard about the new version that came out today (and is already on 1.6.4 ) If not, go here for more information:

GrimWorld will not be updating until Bukkit comes out with the new version, in order to keep things running as smoothly as possible. Please be advised that if you update, you may not be able to connect to our server. We'll let ya'll know when we decide to update. Stay tuned!

I was afraid this might happen. The problem is that minecraft auto updates when you log in. I'm not sure how much I trust the 3rd party downloads of v1.5.
Bukkit's normally fast with these things right?

There is no way to disable auto-update. This is really stupid...

Normally, yes, Bukkit is fast. But with so many changes in this update, it might take them longer.

You guys should definitely update the server so i can get on.

well if you didn't update then you could still get on. use the file in the link above to revert. 1.6 is still broken atm though so we will not be updating until bukkit releases a recommended build.

bukkit is the limiting factor right now.
I'm having trouble running 1.5 using the links you posted. Are you running ubuntu?
I have a few things I still wanna try before I give up but it isn't looking hopeful.
The script doesn't launch the game, and that's what I'm working on. However, launching the regular way results in a stall out after loading. More in a bit.

Found a fix that works. Grimmy/Linna I don't know why yours doesn't, but this for sure does.

1) Press WINDOWS KEY + r on your keyboard
2) type this in the box: %appdata%
3) In the folder that pops up, go to .minecraft, then bin.
5) Download this: http://www.mediafire.com/?aso7o32hne1amba
6) Drag the file you downloaded into the bin folder, and click replace to replace the existing minecraft.jar or minecraft file.

the shortcut I sent you is more of an example. It will not work right out. You have to update the file locations in order for it to work.
