Server lag? Empty Server lag?

I am always suspicious of my own connection whenever I experience lag despite having an excellent service, however this lag has been increasingly heavy for everyone from approximately 830pm to 930pm (Sunday), to the point where I could not log back onto the server.

I was also logged out and cant get back on. I think its a server problem. And I have noticed way more lag latley.
