GrimWorld Banner [To Grimmy]

Yeah, remember when I said ages ago I would make a new banner for GrimWorld on XtremeTop100?
Well, I decided I didn't have enough time to do it.
On the up-hand, I decided today I have enough time to do it.



Whether or not you use it is up to you as I realise you already have one up, but if you want a change: be my guest!

Certainly. It's all in an After Effects project so it's easy to edit any of it.

Think you could make another one that is not animated for our new website banner? Nothing too crazy, just some form of cool background and the GrimWorld.co

The new webpage colors are black/green/grey like the forum if you want to go along with that to make it more seemless. I would love you longtime if you could

All I can come up with is something similar to what you have now. I'll need to ask you a few questions to further decide what I make.

That one was.
The animated banner was with After Effects.
It's funny because I've hardly ever used Photoshop. GIMP is more useful to me.

Awesome. Bear in mind I won't give you the full quality version until

1. I have the right dimensions you want (assumed 960x150px)
   
2. I've made it better
   
3. I'm given the motif emblem if you want that included in the picture.
   
4. You either tell me the font you are using, or use the free "An Unfortunate Event DeWarped" font.
   
5. I am loved 'longtime' assuming that is 2,147,483,647 seconds since time is a signed integer.

Mask is now more subtle for transparent version and curves adjustment tweaked which pretty much makes up for the lighting effects.

dang CJ you got some skillz with that stuff lol ever thought of going into graphic design or something?
I wish I had the patience for that kind of stuff lol i usually get to the point where i rush it cuz i want to finish it faster and I end up making tons of mistakes. ^.^

I'm not really a graphics sorta guy though. Some things like this I can just do by adding more stuff 'til it looks good, but I'm more of a coding, hardware based guy. I've already been headhunted for my electronics ability, but ultimately I want to set up my own computer business. I've missed the PC building bandwagon though as it's now officially being taken over by smartphones, tablets and netbooks; which are a pain the butt to make. Next stop, University.

If you want to get better at graphic design:
1. Look at tutorials for things that look good to you
2. Copy other people's ideas
3. Give it some practice!

yeah I know a bit of coding but not enough. I plan on going into the video game industry but im not sure what i want to do yet so im trying a bit of everything graphics coding everything. I made a couple of games but im still far away form being good at it so for now ill just keep trying things till I find something im good at and enjoy doing ^.^

Sounds like a good plan! The game industry is very stable because it'll always exist as far as we're concerned.
I'd suggest experimenting with Blender 3D to get the hang of meshes and such. It's a crucial and painstaking part of video game creation.
If you're really insane, you could check out this Quantum Algorithm lecture notes thing and look up how it could mean instant rendering for the highest quality models. (Please be careful and take breaks when you read this)
